Roger & Jimmy’s story
Thirty years ago, Roger and Jimmy were spending time on the beaches of Florida when they noticed a serious and all-too-common problem: beach umbrellas constantly blowing loose, tumbling down the sand, and even injuring people. What most beachgoers accepted as “just part of the beach,” they saw as a safety issue that needed a solution.
With creativity and practicality, they came up with what became the Beach Umbrella Stabilization System (BUSS). Their original setup was simple but effective and it worked well.
That moment on the beach sparked an idea that has stood the test of time. BUSS was born out of real-world experience, concern for safety, and a desire to make beach days more enjoyable for everyone. Decades later, the same core idea remains just as relevant: a smart, reliable way to keep umbrellas secure and people safe.
